Community Programs¶
There's always something happening at Sunrise at Hunter Mill. A monthly schedule of activities and entertainment is provided at the beginning of each month. Calendars are also posted in the elevator, grand foyer, and at the entrance of the House and Bistro.
Daily Activities¶
Planned daily activities are posted around the community. Drop in and join your neighbors!
Social Hour¶
A social event is held every afternoon in the Bistro — refreshments provided. This is a wonderful opportunity for both residents and staff to meet and connect.
Resident Council Meetings¶
The Resident Council meets on the first Wednesday of every month in the Activities Room. Department heads attend upon request. This is your opportunity to:
- Identify concerns and suggest improvements
- Share ideas for the community
- Speak directly with department heads
Scheduled Outings & Trips¶
Sunrise organizes regularly scheduled bus trips. All trips appear on the activities calendar. To sign up, contact the Concierge or Activities and Volunteer Coordinator.
Religious Services¶
Sunrise provides religious services for Residents. You are also encouraged to continue visiting your own place of worship. If you'd like us to contact your religious organization or have specific requests, speak with the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator.
Library¶
The Resident Library is in the Activity Room on the 1st floor. Books are available to borrow on the honor system.
Mail & Newspaper Delivery¶
Mail and newspapers are delivered each day to the Concierge's desk.
- Mail can be picked up at the desk or delivered to your room upon request
- Outgoing US mail can be sent via the Concierge at any time, provided it has the correct postage
- Please ensure all incoming mail includes your suite number
- Newspaper subscriptions may be ordered from the paper directory by you or a family member
